To start working with Referrals, you should click on the Sales group in the navigation pane and select the Active Referrals view at the view list on the top. Using AvailSuite Referrals module, you can:
To create a new Referral, user can use one of the following methods:
- use the New Referral button on the toolbar;
- select New and then Referral in the File menu on the main form;
- fill a new row directly in the Referral view.

To delete a Referral, open the Referral details form and click the Delete button on the toolbar. However, the system will not delete a Referral, if there is at least one Customer linked to the Referral.
If this case, you may want to de-activate the Referral in the system. While the Referral will remain in the database as well as all the Customer and historical data, the Referral will no longer be displayed in Referral selection combo-boxes and other controls.
To make a Referral inactive, do the following:
- Open Referral details screen;
- Uncheck the Is Active flag;
- Save the changes.
To make a Referral active again, find it in the Inactive Referrals view, open the details screen, check the Is Active flag, and save the changes.
A Customer can be marked as attracted by the referral. To do this, open the customer form and select the referral using the referral selector control on the Misc tab. To remove a referral from the customer, simply delete the referral name on the customer form and save the changes.
